" Airlifted Footprints "
by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán
Airlifted footprints pulling strings of incidences
drawing deep involvements happening as shifts
of acronyms in military decisions fighting to "win"
not waiting for permission speaking specifically
of gassed civilian victims due to incongruous doctrines
as innocuous calls to arms via flipping policies
of brazen and bizarre gridlock for the dearly departed
solaces broken apart bereft of arguments upended democracies
not dead yet unable to raise objections to malicious agendas
pre-and-post election labeled "terrorists" as good news for elephants
well ahead of presidents' certain contentions left unmentioned
losing members as euphemisms for killing them
evoking invincibility by leaders yielding unwieldy impunity
deemed well-meaning shock therapy treatments
jittery mental digressions as points of reference
for viciousness in hotbeds minus consequence
What's next? Sticking out our necks?
